About CS1680

CS1680 is a projects-oriented course. Students work in teams on a project chosen from a list of projects proposed by our industry partners and/or faculty. Teams will work closely with their industry mentor or faculty mentor in order to complete the project in a timely manner. All projects are designed to be completed in one semester.

Student teams will work with faculty and a project leader from participating companies to create a project proposal and complete the project work over the course of the semester. This web page will track the progress of each team

Requirements
Project Proposal
Each team is responsible for preparing a slide presentation describing what the team wishes to accomplish during the semester and how the team plans on implementing the project. In addition, the team will provide a breakdown of the responsibilities of each team member. The project proposal will be made to the class early in the term after the teams have had a chance to meet with their mentor and fully understand their project.

Project Summary
A second presentation/demo will be made by each team near the end of the semester describing what has been accomplished by the team and what can be done in the future to enhance their work.

Mentor Sign off
Each team will submit a sheet containing bulleted items of what has been accomplished at the last class meeting. Each completed item will be initialed by the team's mentor indicating the item was completed as specified. This sheet is to be signed by each team member and by the team's mentor indicating that the project was completed as specified.
